OK compared to your day my scotch tape on the trunk fix seems pretty insignificant. I'm sorry about your car. That totally sucks and that guy is probably lucky you didn't just lay him out flat with his attitude! I would have wanted to!

wow, that guy sounds like a complete ***! I dont know how I would have responded to him saying that. At least there was a good samaritan right behind you that was willing to help you out. Good luck getting it all sorted out.

So sorry to hear that man. At least you're ok and the car is fixable.

Make sure you file a "Loss of Value" or "Diminution of Value" claim with his insurance. My wife and I got hit recently in our Mazda6 and our lawyer friend informed us about this process. It's basically a way to compensate you for the reduction in resale/trade-in value of your vehicle. My wife and I got a check in the mail for several hundred dollars recently for our loss in value to our Mazda6 caused by the idiot driver who hit us. According to USAA, the loss in value is generally 25% of the total repair bill.

PS, I didn't realize you were in the Houston area. We got hit on 59N up by the Beltway in our Mazda6... we got hit by a Mustang. [:@]
Sucks about getting hit. I was hit last year in April by an idiot running a red light while I was making a left hand turn. I was nearly through the turn and he took out my front fender and wheel. Fender, rim and tire, bumper cover, and headlamp assembly were all replaced.

On a side note, for the diminished return value, can you file for that even after almost a year's time?

huggers next to them.

I think your SC got damaged and you might need a new one.

Being on your toes anddouble the OEM amount ofhorns helps.
But you cant do nothing bout them ditches.
