Default Supercharger vs. Turbo reliability

Ok I pretty much know which is better and for what reasons, yadda yadda yadda. But I heard that a supercharger is more reliable. As in it doesn't need as much matianence and it lasts longer, but I don't know what you guys think?

I'm no expert on turbos longevity, but i'm willing bet that my whipple will outlast any turbo available for our cars. My reasoning is simple, heat.

Where are most turbos manufactured?

Simplier design and less parts to break.

I think if you look around you will find just as many sites that claim that turbos are more reliable than SC's as vise versa? It is a good question? SC's have more moving parts and it's not easy to get a speed increase mechanically? Turbos have high rpm's and heat? All I know is there are a buttload of turbos out there that run well over a million miles..........look at all those big rigs on the road. Good question though, I've been looking at those turbos also.

there are so many cars out there with stock turbos that are still running just fine. a guy i know has one on his cobra for 100k+ miles. Treat anything right and it will treat you right
