Default Brenspeed/Bama/VMP vs. Custom dyno tune.

Ive got 3 brenspeed tunes and know that a dyno tune is obviously better being that it's specific to YOUR car. I got tossed a really great deal of $150 to dyno tune it and I'm just wondering how much better it is than the "mail order tunes". How much more hp and ft lbs do you think I will be able to squeeze with a dyno tune? Thanks.

w/ your mods in sig, i think your ok w/ the brenspeed tune, theirs are pretty good. i would say if you were SC, N20, or had more mods the dyno tune would make more of a difference. i would wait until you do more mods then do the dyno tune. but $150 is a deal.

There's a more revised list of mods. So with my current list a dyno tune would be a waste?

i've heard of some tuners not changing the brenspeed tune bc it is good already. your tune now is for the CAI, turn off rear O2's. i would wait on the dyno tune. but it wouldnt harm anything to do it, if your willing to spend the 150 you could always compare the different tunes and switch them as appropriate, nothing wrong w/ that.
plus you can get some dyno numbers at the same time.

I can also get 3 pulls for $60 if I just want the numbers.

I would say you will be good with the brenspeed 1. But for that price i would say go for it and see what 1 you like better.

With some of the tuners that I've spoken with, unless you are doing somethig like FI, the gains from a dyno tune vs. a brenspeed tune are minimal and not worth the $$$. However, if you can get a pretty low price and want to try it I say go for it.

HP between a mail order tune and a dyno tune is only going to be a few rwhp.
