2005 GT Leather Seat Problem
I have a 2005 GT Deluxe with black leather interior. I was cleaning the car the other day when I noticed the rear seats are different. The driver side rear seat has the breathing holes in the top part of the seat and the bottom. On the passenger side rear seat the bottom has the holes but the top is just smooth leather. I bought the car new from the dealer in 2005. I'm not sure if there are other people that have the incorrect seat or if it just a error that happened at the factory.

There is a guy in my car club that has leather front seats and cloth in the rear. I saw itwhen he first bought it in 05 when GT's were hard to get for some reason he never had them change it after he took delivery and he did not order it that way.

Are you sure that the back seats are leather? I will check mine and see. I didn't because I just assumed they are vinyl. All the F-150's that I've seen, except for the King Ranch models have leather only on the front seats and only on the actual seating surfaces. The sides and the entire back seat area is vinyl. A very close match to the leather, but vinyl. I just assumed that my '08 Mustang was the same. I'll check, but will be quite surprised to find any leather in the back seat area.

I can't believe this still happens! I saw this problem at least 3 different times at the Ford dealer I worked at. Two were mismatched cloth patterns and one was the completely wrong seat. Brand new Escort with a Mercury Tracer Trio passenger seat! This was in 1999 or 2000.
