Default Where is the best place to get a drop in K&N Filter?

I'll be getting a CAI and tune down the road but for now I just want to pick up a drop in K&N filter. Where's the best price for one? Thanks guys, Tyler

You can get them on many online sites and maybe some auto parts stores. However, I would really just wait and get the CAI/Tune as you won't really notice anything with the drop-in. Just my opinion.

waste of money in my opinion, save the 40 bucks and put it toward a CIA/Tune

Seriously I heard these filters were bad for your car. I read a HUGE write up that said these let in alot of dirt in. There was one in when I bought the car but it is coming OUT!

They're just as safe as your stock filter... There are ISO standards regarding air filters and these filters meet them... I'd love to see the huge write up saying they are bad for your car...

I have been running them on all my cars for years, and I usually drive my cars to as much as 150K miles. If there is an article on that I would like to see it. If this is true then I would guess that all the CAI's we are all putting on our carsare equally as bad (if not worse)!

You can usually get them off eBay cheap, or if you want one locally, PepBoys usually has $10 off coupons every week in my local paper (Sunday Ad).

I generally agree with the idea of saving the $45 and put it toward a CAI/Tune later. You won't regret that mod.

There you go. Not proof but a good read. Makes sense to me.
