I've been told my Borla exhaust is loud. I take my beater truck to work, so I don't have to worry about my neighbors. If someone was to complain though, I would try and comprimise with them.

Im glad my neighbors are deer and racoon, lol.
I did put the stock muffs on becuase i was getting complaints from inside my house. They all work nights, and I work days. o/r H with stock mufflers is tolerable vs with the flows.

I died laughing, and like the other poster, read it again and just laughed some more +1 to puttin a frame on that and hanging it up next to a pic of your car. You will get a kick out of it even 20+ years from now

I think that's AWESOME. I wish I could do that to some of my neighbors

Seriously though, those kids must be pretty light sleepers. I've never heard anything that wasn't on a race track that was so loud as to wake people. I live in a townhouse and my neighbors driveway is like 2 feet from mine, and I've never had anyone ever complain, even when I sit in the driveway and rev it hehehe.

I'd say even if you don't make it quieter, just try to be civil with them and discuss it. Hope things don't get ridiculous! And I agree, it's refreshing that they tried to handle it in a civil, respectable manner.

...and people with loud exhausts scratch their heads and wonder why when their loud Mustangs get keyed!
You're lucky you didn't get bananas in the tailpipe!
Or sugar in the gas tank!

Keep it quiet for the neighbors! Karma can be a bitch.
If I saw someone stealing my neighbor's Harley, that he guns to keep it from stalling (POS!) all up and down my alley at all hours of the day or night...setting off car alarms... well I'd just turn the other way and smile!

That's awesome LOL.
But they were very nice about it so you really need to try and accomidate them.
Either that or tell them to give their kids some"Kid Stoned Chewable Valium".

"waking up screaming" - hilarious. Everytime you turn the key in the morning, picture at that very momentthose kids jumping up and screaming in terror. damn that's funny.

HAHAHA...awesome post. I would definitely frame that and put it up in my garage.

But ya I would try like someone said and back you car in to the garage and try and start it that way. Its nice that there are still nice and civilized people in this would.

lol this is priceless. I have neighbors on one side who all go to uti motor cycle school so they have like a dozen bikes of diff sorts so they are mad kool with it and my other neighbor loves the car and hi slil girl cheers when I rev it, other wise id be screwed. I live in a condo and the one neighbors wife says it vibrates her on the couch when I start it. If its real late i roll out of the garage then start it then creep up a way from our condos a bit then let it run.

my roomie moved my car the other day and I was on my 3rd floor and it was shaking the floor like mad.
