hello everyone,i have an 06 gt, and i am thinking about trading it in for a 00-04 saleen convetible with the speedster package. There is something about those cars that truely make me smile when i see them! i am happy with my car, dont get me wrong but this has been a thought ive been having and would like to hear your feedbacks!

It's all personal preference, if you like the 04 better go for it, i personally don't care for that body style near as much as I do the S197.

 

There's a guy in the local club with a 2004 supercharged speedster, sonic blue. SEXIEST car out there (but ONLY in that color!)

 

Do what you think you want... saleen stangs are sexy, definately... but I would never want an older car and older body style as my daily driver. Maybe at the track it wouldnt matter, but in real life people don't care or even know the saleen name, and you basically would just have an old car.

S197 imo.

I would keep the S197 as well. Its a newer car and better looking in my opinion. Turn it into your own Saleen if you want a Saleen.

The grass might look greener on the other side of the fence, but what you've got right now looks pretty darn hot.

On the other hand, life is short. If you really want the Saleen, then get one. At least if you get it and then change your mind, you can always go back to a newer mustang.

I guess it just depends on how much that temptation to get a Saleen convertible is calling to you. It'd have to be calling to me awfully darn loud to get rid of the car you have.

 

I'd get the saleen, I've always loved the new edges, or if you want an 00-04 why not get an 03-04 cobra, top 3 fav mustangs ever
