Default detailing underneath

ok i maybe a complete psycho when it comes to my car but I figuredi'd ask you guys this anyway. i was under my car adjusting the tips on my loudmouths when i just noticed how clean everything looks except the rearend, driveshaft, and a few otherbits and pieces. the driveshafti plan on replacing anyway so I'm not really worried about that.but has anyone else really gone to town on cleaningdown there??? i was thinking of painting the rear end black. and anything else rusting.i don't know maybe i'm just nuts I guess it really shouldn't bother me that much... anyone have any tips who's done something like this???

yea when I put my panhard bar on I painted everything under there...best thing to do is find a buddy with a lift. Luckily one of my good friends owns a body shop and he lets me use his shop and it makes it so much easier.

Yep I welded the tubes, took a wire brush to all the stickers and labels and painted everything black. Did it while changing the axles and doing the tru-trac.

so did you just use spray paint and mask everything off or did you take all the parts off?

I had my rear end completely out and on the ground. It made it really easy.

Now getting it completely out.....thats another story![:@]

I masked off everything under the car and sanded, wire brushed, primed, and painted like 3 coats of black paint. Makes the underside sooo much nicer. Did not bother with the driveshaft as I will be replacing it soon.
