RE: no respect
Its all about personal preference. I LOVE manual cars, but after driving one for 15 years straight, I bought my stang as an auto and I dont regret it ever. I spend over an hour a day in traffic, so an auto was a must.
*shrug* I love driving my stang.. and that is al that matters.

It's impressive to have a "great pull" bangin gears though.. It deserves respect. Look (OP) the size of your member is the size of your member you don't need me to gratify you or anyone else in my opinion. There is a skill to a standard transmission that is dying every day, so of course 30y/o failures need something to look forward to. Next time lie..You do have a 5 sp after all don't you?

For drag racing, you want an auto, yes sir.
And heavy traffic.
Look the irony of that... If you want to go fast or really slow, you need an auto.

Drag racing +1 with the auto. Huge advantage at the strip....
I love my manual. because i love the shifting and when on a mountain twisty road or a road couse, theres nothing like it. Nothing to be ashamed of. I'll bet he is automaticaly getting those carts every hour.........

I dont think we should turn this into a manual vs auto thread.... But ill throw my opinion in: I wish I got an auto! I'm tired of shifting, and I shift slow enough that I'd be much faster if I had an auto. Argh.
Ill remember this for my next car....
Now, if I could get an auto with paddle shifters on the steering wheel then everything would be perfect.

I was born and raise in Europe and never touched an Auto until I came here.
Yeah, I'm a manual driver andI wouldn't want an auto in my Mustang, but I recognize the benefit of it.
We're wasting time arguing with this. It's just a preference and that's all.

It's the first question for many people when they see or hear about our auto Stangs...when it comes down to it, i'm just to friggin lazy to shift. I never understood the obsession with manuals, but hey...to each is own! That's why we have something in life called OPTIONS!!! I could care less what anyone thinks about me having an auto GT. I sweat my a$$ off working for the car, and it's perfect IMO! That's all that should matter.
