No. You can use the key fob, or, lower your split back seat and climb in that way and pull the release strap.

Nope. There's the key FOB. Also, there's supposedly a mod you can do to put in a switch in the passenger compartment. I've seen a few threads on this but can't put my finger on them right now. Do a search.
