Magnetic blackouts panel?

RE: Magnetic blackouts panel?
I havea honeycomb one on my 2000 GT, it goes on with double sided tape, and it never looks dusty so it must be the material of the magnetic one. The only bad thing with the double sided tape is that you can't remove it to clean behind it but so far I haven't had any need to. I purchased one for my 2005 GT as well and can't wait to put it on if the body shop would ever get done with the car!

It looked great but it was a pain in the a$$ to maintain. You would get ugly dust bumps undreneath and it made it look ugly. It does stick great and look even better. I would suggest to get one and put it on. If you dont have the dust problems I encountered, then you're good. If it starts to annoy you, and you like the black out look, for +/- $100 you can get the back panel painted as I did. Here is the painted look. Its a little far but here it goes:

RE: Magnetic blackouts panel?
I decided to give the magnetic panel a try because it was the least expensive ones out there and I now wish I had gotten something else. At first, the fit was ok. The sides were cut a little small and a little bit of the decklid was showing along the left and right edges. After a month and a half, the magnetic panel seemed to have shrunken a bit and now more of the decklid is visible at the left and right edges. The hole around the faux gas cap has also widened so you can see the cars color around it.
