I was reading an older thread about the ater temp and oil pressure gauges being dummy gauses, s this still the case on the 07?

The weird this is the water temp will slowly move up then seem to jump to the middle of the gauge and never move no mater how hardI drive it.
The oil pressure gauge is always in the middle.

So what is the scoop?

Nothing to be alarmed about, that means your coolant system is doing its job. You want the water temp to stay put.

So your water temp gauge went up?
Or you got some idiot light on?

Temp is a gauge

Oil psi is not, merely indicates the presence of pressure or the lack thereof

The oil and water temp gauges are dummy gauges? [sm=WTFsgign.gif] I have an '05 and reading the owners manual they describe the gauges as operating as gauges. Mind telling me where this information is that the guages are faux gauges?

I'm already somewhat disappointed that my back seats aren't leather and the front seats are "half" leather - now all the gauges aren't real? I have a hard time with that one.

I don't believe the oil pressure gauge is a dummy gauge.. lol sure it will indicate whether there is pressure or not.. Thats what a gauge does. I dont believe that it stays in the middle if there is pressure and thendoesn't move til there is no pressure.
as for leather seating.. I'd guess the backs of your seats (the non seating surfaces) are not leather. thats the case on most all cars unless you get up into the big ticket items.
