do Hood Pin Lanyards scratch the paint?
just wondering if anyone's hood pin cables have scratched the paint?
it seems to me that metal cable + wind + paint would mean scratching..
any experience? i'm a newb to hood pins [8D]

I don't have them, but I think most sets (the good ones at least) have a plastic coating on the wires. However, anything rubbing on your paint will probably cause wear after a while.

Just check any GT-H! They've had theirs on them for 2+ years now and most have fine or heavy scratches. The wire is encased in clear plastic but can still scratch.
And the first time you pop your hood before remembering that you have to undo the pins first might not help much.

No problem here either. I think the trick is to not havea lot of slop in the cables so they aren't flopping around high speed. Mine pretty much lay on top of the hod then make a sharp turn to go under the hood.
