Horsepower TV
Well, I never did watch the show where they built the Stroker 5.0 for the 2007 Mustang GT; however I was browsing on my Xbox for shows and saw that it was downloadable to view. So I purchased both episodes involving the build. Something about working on engines I simply love and this was really fun - but short - to watch.
The disappointment led to the end of the second episode when they said it would require some R&D tuning before they could tell us the results, and some may know that this episode aired many months back.
So BBK & Eagle sponsered the build so I e-mailed both and BBK replied back saying they contacted Horsepower TV and they said that they ran into a few snags due to the build required cam phasers as well; and that they ran 379 rwhp 375 rwtq out of a 5.0 Stoker, with Cams, LT Headers, P&P Heads, BBK Intake & Throttle body, 1pc Aluminum Driveshaft, UDPs, and an Aluminum flywheel. I can't say that's too impressive but perhaps with a better intake and maybe the GT 500 throttle body and some better tuning that it might make a little more. Throw on some Coil on Plugs and high compression and possibly to see 400 rwhp (which would suit me just fine.)
Of course a build like this is going to be expensive, and it's just easier to get a supercharger... but that's not what I want. Anyway, some people were curious so I figured I'd let you all in on that.
Nevertheless 70rwhp from a stroker, high compression, P&P heads, LT Headers, aggressive cams, lightweight driveshaft and flywheel, and a throttle body seems a little on the low side; especially since I'm nearly running 300 rwhp on intake tune and pulleys. Brenspeed ran 347 rwhp on Intake, tune, pulleys, LT headers, and cams. Nevertheless I'll eventually find out when I do the build myself.!

RE: Horsepower TV
Hey tanks for the post. I wonderd what the results were. (lame) I'm like you, supercharger "cheap" quick h.p. but, I have always been into n.a. motors.

RE: Horsepower TV
There's no telling what kind of stroker kit they got, and since it was all Eagle stuff maybe a better combination would have worked better. Plus we don't know what kind of valve train and cams they went with. Lots of things involved.
