don't you need to use "img"?

Oh, and yeah, Silverhorse panel FTW!

I have it on my white car. I simply painted the back side so you can't see the car. That way you keep the gloss look without the cost of painting the exterior side. I would use the epoxy or krylon paint made for plastic. Also, I used magnetic tape so I could remove it and clean behind it and still be able to leave it off now and again for a change of taste!!

Mag tape made for outdoor use ... http://www.custom-magnets.com/high_e...netic_tape.htm

The mag tape also works great on emblems as well. It's nice to change them out and move them from time to time just for a different look. I have about a dozen emblems I change out for a different look. Also, they can be removed for easy cleaning and waxing of the car.

PS. remove the 3m tape and install the mag tape before painting. Be sure to cover the mag tape with masking tape before you paint otherwise the paint might rub off on to the car. So far the panel has not come off the car and tape really holds very well.

The real maker of that plastic transparent panel is gts, or gt styling. They are the same maker of pretty much all headlight and tail light covers. (not to be confused with lund) They made this product to fill the color gap between the tail lights so they they would match with their tail light covers...Ive seen people who have the smoked tail light covers and a flat black panel, and it looks terrible...
I have a white gt with just the panel and no white shows through at all. You would swear that the actual metal is painted and not a cover untill you get close and see that its a cover.

If I were you, I would go to the hobby shop and buy a small can of Testors black plastic model spray paint, prob. cost you $5, and spray the back side of the blackout panel. If you do this, it will no longer be transparent, but will retain the gloss look.
