Default Stripe Install ?

Ok so I was looking to get some new Vinyl stripes on my car. Kinda what I have now but, to reach the bumper on the front as opposed to what I have now... I found these on eBay and they were pretty much what I was looking for with the chaser pinstripes

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=130201643386

Ok heres the issue.... On the details, it says that they do the installation for them. So I asked the seller how much it would run to get them put on and he says it'll be $425.00!! I dont know how much these things usually run to install but, that seems kinda steep. He also said it'll take 7 hours... I need some feedback cuz to me, 425 is kinda steep so those of you that have gotten Vinylstripes done, please ring in! Thanks in advance

I had my BSM bumper-to-bumper stripes installed for $150 labor. That included doing dual 10" and bordering 1/2" pin stripes B_2_B, along with the custom rocker panel decals. Now, the shop that did mine cut me a break on labor as I also contracted with them to install my X-Pel 3M clear bra. (since this shop is also a certified XPel installation dealer). I watched most of the install, and I can tell you the bumpers actually took longer to do than the rest of the car... very tricky getting the vinyl to lay down properly over curves. Stripes and clear bra have been on for 1 year now, and they look as good as they did day 1... no air bubbles... no corners lifting... no discoloration... couldn't be happier.

Takes a long time to get it right - read the instal instructions on the BSM website just to give you an idea of the effort involved. That sounds reasonable for a "perfect" install.

Stripes are from Baltimore Street Mods. Rob (@BSM) custom made the rocker panels. Install was done at "Just Tint & Graphics" in Citrus Heights, CA. Complete Install was a total of ~ 8-12 hours.. but that included having pizza, beverage of choice, and shooting the shii til 1am at the shop. Shop owner is Emil and he took his time to get it right... treated car like it was his own. As I said, he threw me a bone on the labor rate as I also had him tint my windows and install the XPel 3M clear bra.

Wow Citrus Heights is about 4 hours away from here[&:]....Hmmm well if I stick to doing this I might just make the trip! Unless there are some forum members from this area (661) that know of any places around here that specialize in Vinyl. Oh and also Q, I noticed that yours had the pinstripes and on the BSM website, the pics didnt...Was there like an extra charge for that?

I know this won't help, because you are asking about installation of vinyl stripes......

But just to guage yourself....I had my stripes painted on the top and the rocker panels for less than $500........I think he felt sorry for my car~!!!

Best of luck to you!!!! saddle ~

Well if pity was the case..........I want someone to pity MY car and do the same LOL!

I'm very spontaneous when it comes to modding my car: appearance or otherwise so if I do decide to go through with it. I will definetly look into getting them painted on.

depending on your budget have you ever considered just having a show paint them. It would look better in the long run if you really like the colors
