Manually Locking Up Your Auto' Trans'
Hey all!
Anyone tried or figured out how to bypass the sensor loop that tells your torque converter when to lock up as it does when in OD?
I was thinking it would be nice to be able to lock up my TC manually so as to not only get rid of some slip but increase MPG and perhapsa bit more performance / torque to the rear wheels that's otherwise lostprovided one is careful not to lock it up at the wrong time like when coming to a stop for instance.
I found some explorer owners are doing it so there must be a way to do it with ours too.

It might be just as simple as bypassing the usual safety features via grounding the connection at the trans' via a secondary switch.
Let me know if any of you have done this and if so, exactly what you did.
Thanks!
