I think these do not mount...is this correct? Please let me know. I did a search and it appears that the key just gets put in youre glovebox or centerconsole...not mounted

The remote adjusters are about 8" long. What I've seen done is cut a small hole in the carpet and poke the adjuster through. This way you don't have to peel back the carpet or remove the subs to adjust the rears. You won't need the key for the rears with the adjusters, only the fronts.

thanks argonaut, that was indeed very helpful. get the idea now. I didnt understand before where the adjusters were used ( i didnt install them) but now realize that i do it from the top. Im assuming that i need to adjust the fronts from under the hood?

Your welcome.
Yes, that is correct, you have to open the hood and insert a small "key" (comes with the D-Specs) into the top of the fronts to adjust them. I just keep the key in my center console.
