Default RUSTY CRANK PULLEY

has anyone else noticed that there crankshaft pulley appears rusty or rusted, mine does and it only has1k miles on it. i even think i noticed this before i bought it,,,,,was this an upgrade option that ford hasne rusted pulley 75$.lol what should i do? it looks bad and i don't want the under drive pulleys....is this a warranty issue...please advise

I think everyones is like this... mine also, so I dont think its a warranty issue or every S197 would be getting a new pulley... someone else chime in so we arent the only 2 in the world...

Its they way all the stock ones get. I'm sure it's not covered by the warranty. It definately sucks

If that bothers you then don't crawl underneath your Stang. There a re a lot of parts that get surface rust FAST on our Stangs.Surface rustwon't hurt anything other than our pride.

i crawled uder mine and noticed the rearend has alot of surface rust on it, i'll go check the pulley after dinner.

Yes, bareferrous metalswill develop surface oxidation, you can`t repeal the laws of nature. Neither can Ford

Mine was pretty rusted too when I removed it for my UDP. Seems normal to me.

It's the underside of the car, it's gonna get rusty in places. It's perfectly normal and you're pulley is still in it for the long run.
