To be honest I don't think I would use the ratchet feature that much. As far as improving the looks, it really isn't much better than the stock shifter, especially for $500+ (if suoperdave's info is correct).

My dad drives an Audo with a tiptronic and the few times I've driven it I played with it a bit but it really wasn't too great.
