SCT Tuner not working - just got tuner & CAI

SCT Tuner not working - just got tuner & CAI
I just got my C&L CAI and SCT tuner from Brenspeed. I installed the CAI and everything went smooth, until I tried to install the tune.
The SCT powers up and lets me select Program Vehicle, but when I follow the prompts (press select, turn key on, press select, etc.) it gives me a time out error like it can't find the car computer. Same thing when I try to read the car error codes, it can't find the car. I followed the directions exactly and tried several times with the same problem.
Did I do something wrong or is the tuner bad?
I drove home 20 miles with the C&L but without a tune. I had just filled up with 93 octane in anticipation of installing the 93 octane tune. I didn't get any error lights on the car, but it seems to bog now. I tried to keep the RPM's under 3000 on the drive home. I need to get the tuner working so I can drive it with this CAI installed.
Any ideas, other than calling Brenspeed in the morning?

I am turning the key to the ON position, right before START.
The menu gives me an option for Program Car but not Custom Tune. I can select between 87, 91, and 93 Octane tunes, and the Dealer Info screen says Brenspeed, so I think it has the tunes on it.
I gave Brenspeed the code from the sticker on the side of the box under the hood where they asked- the codewas MTZ 0. They seemed satisfied with that code.
Any harm in driving it to work tomorrow until I can get the right codes emailed or something?

i wouldnt do it, you can just dont go WOT and you will be OK, you might still throw a code though......
One thing that is odd, you say your cant reads codes, you should be able to do this no matter what.....this has nothing to do with loading tunes, something else is not right

I got the same problem before.Turn off all accessory. If the words AUTO of power windows are still illiminated, open and close the door. Theywill be off. Try to load again, it will work.
