installing springs

RE: installing springs
You don`t need a compressor to install the new springs, they`re so much shorter you can do it by hand.
I restrained the O.E. springs with a c-clamp and removed the nut, "jumped" a little but didn`t seem unsafe at all.
YMMV

RE: installing springs
I dont recommend it but what I did was backed the nut off to about half of the threads, taped the trigger down on my air gun with the socket on the nut, laid the fixture out in the grass and plugged the air hose in from about 15 ft away.

RE: installing springs
Not too bad.
Might want to consider replacing the
chuckle upper strut mount bearings for
the new chuckle free parts offered by Ford
while you have them apart.
(8R3Z-18183-A)cost $58.23 each.
