Default No cabin air filter on these cars - right?

Dumb question perhaps... Is there a cabin air filter for the 05-08 Stangs?
I don't think so - but want to confirm

yes there is. it's located under the hood at the passenger side firewall panel . you take off two plastic screw pieces, pop that firewall cover, and there it is.

easy replacement for one to do - don't let the dealership steal your money!

You just have to pull it out and look at it. I have 13,000 miles now, and live in a high, dry, desert type place and I checked mine at 12K miles just knowing it would be filthy. Guess what? It looked like brand new.

I just take air hose and clean it till it gets real bad,
while you have it out check drain hole at bottom
of well, some people have had it clogged with
leaves and water back up into air intake during
heavy rain or car wash. You may need a small mirror
to see down in there.
