So I just fired up the stang yesterday after de-winterizing her. Battery was actually dead this year for some weird reason, so after charging for a bit she fired up no problem.

I turned on the Shaker and went to play one of the 6 discs that I had loaded from last fall and when I try to play a CD it just says "CD ERROR".

I then tried to eject a disc and none of them would eject.

When I try to load a disc it just reads, 'SLOTS FULL'

I'm just out of warranty now so I would like to avoid a stupid bill from the stealership...if anyone has any ideas, muchly appreciated!!

 

same thing happened to me one day i just went inside and looked on the forum for something...about 15 minutes later went back out and the cd had been ejected.

 

This happens with the Shaker after battery disconnection.
Allow the unit to cycle thru all 6 CDs before trying to eject
or load CDs.
Or you could do some onboard diags to figure out whats going on.

Mine is having the same problem the dealer has ordered a new one to replace it with. When mine had this problem I did some searching and several people have had the same issues.

 

I'd probably leave the battery on the charger for a while longer. Battery voltage may have been too low to operate the Shaker properly.

 

This happened to me about a week ago, i pulled radio out to hook up my gauges and get in there, and one of the plugs in the radio wasnt snapped all the way in when i put it back together. It took me a while to realize thats what it was, so i pulled the whole dash out again and replugged everything to the shaker 500 and it works perfect now.
