Get rid of the cats. You wont need a smog for 5 years anyway. Just keep the stock h-pipe so you can swap it out for smogs when the time finally comes.

Dont know about Cali emissions laws, but I had a bassani o/r x-pipe and it was good quality. I will tell you it was so freakin loud with my MAC mufflers that I was happy to see it go. It rattled my whole car. My buddy has the o/r x-pipe you posted in that link and with his flowmasters its loud but not as bad as mine was.

I want my car pretty loud. In CA you have to have cats, the law. My buddy is a smog tech so i can get by visuals but i dont think they will pass without ats, anyone know?????????? I was thinking about doing the cut out and some muffler delets or straight thru mufflers, should rummble, but i know o/r would be a lot louder but i hate dealing with smog and cops in ca arent the friendliest. i have 3 fix it tickets for tinted windows, all within a month.

I live in Cali too. I have an off road x-pipe with straight piped mufflers and 2 resanators before the rear axles. I like the way it sounds. If anyone who heard my car on Sunday wants to chime in if they liked it or not feel free. Heres a link to the sound.

The resanators got rid of the trumpeting sound.
