Default Installing Xenon side scoops ?

I just recieved my side scoops and was surprised on how heavy they are. I was wondering if I need to watch out for anything . Some comments from the guys that have them would be nice.

The only thing I have to say about the side scoops is make sure whoever paints them preps them REALLY well. It took my body shop 2 tries to get all the release agent out. The first time the scoops started to peel in one spot.

But I like the way they look. I used doublesided tape and 3M adhesive spray to stick them on and they don't move very solid.

as long as you properly prep the mating surface on your stang, you'll be a-ok. 3m is solid.

Use 3M 4298 adhesive promoter
be careful, you only have one shot to press them on straight

i used tape to mark where i wanted them.. and then used those as guidlines for installing them.. worked out well.. only thing i have against mine, is that towards the back.. there is only like one strip of tape.. and it came up.. so its seperated fromt he body at the very back.. by about a 1/4 inch.. nothin big.. just wish it wasnt liekt hat..

but i loved them.. cant wait to do side scoops

When a part of mine lifted I sprayed this stuff in there and taped it down. Then I used Ooops purchased from autozone and cleaned the yellow off everywhere. I use this stuff on everything, scoops, spoiler anything I need to glue. After a session with stuff I never had to use it a second time.

edit; I spray this ON the 3m tape then stick it to the car. Make sure you practice first once its on your SOL. Very hard to get off.

I have them on mine but they are lifting near the wheels and i found a guy who said he will do them for me for $10 a piece. but they are pretty simple to do, i even had the window louvers but someone decided to try to take them off and couldnt get them completly off so they left a bunch of tape residue on my car. but all in all, i love how they make the car look. if you go into my photo album you can see what mine looks like. i have a black car so they are beautiful
