Default Plug Change

About to change my plugs and was wondering if I NEED to use Nickel anti-seize or just the little packs of AGS Thread-Magic stuff for spark plugs they have at the parts counter?

Nickel on the shaft only, not on the threads.

if you're going with the2 piece design, i
would use nickel on the ground electrode
per the TSB

if it's the new one piece design, that magic
stuff on the threads might be ok, if the
temp rating is high enough

I hear that NAPA has it as well as Pep Boys with the later being the cheapest.

I bought a set of Autolite HT1's and got some of that AGS Thread-Magic Anti-Seize (small packs at the checkout counter). I researched the AGS stuff and it's good up to 1200 deg. F. I also found that the Nickel Anti-Seize by Permatex is good up to 2400 deg. F. So, I'd rather get the Permatex, but Autozone and Advance don't carry it.

if you start running at temperatures around 1200 degrees Farenheit...i think you have bigger problems than anti-sieze losing functionality lol

Damn! There was a post on here the other day about those. Must be a local thing. Guess you have to order on line. Bummer.
