Replaced plugs at 5,000 mles
I broke down and bought the new champion spark plugs for my car. 07 GT with only 5,000 miles and withall the nightmares i have been hearing aboutmade my mind up. Didn't have any problem taking old ones out but i can see where there would have been problems down the road. They were already getting some light build up on them. So far it seems to have better idle and throttle response. At least they were easy to do, Ford did one thing right!

Boy there seems to be a waterfall of spark plug related posts and horror stories recently. Its so nice being informed if all the poor design situations these cars have. I pitty the average person who owns one of these and has no idea of what lies ahead. Luckily I haven't hit 7,000 miles yet so my confidence level is pretty high. Almost as high as the price of those champions. Geez, $18 plugs!!! I may just throw in some new stockers for now WITH neversneeze and hope market proliferation brings the champions down in price 10,000 miles from now. For those who have done the champions, what gap did you go with. I see these have a more traditional electrode set up and are they the same heat range as stock. Part # 7989 right?
