Dyno results (sucky!)
I went to the Mustangs and Mustangs showat the Fantasy of Flight Museum just outside of Lakeland Florida today. VMP Tuning was there with a mobile Dynojet. I was a little (ok, alot) dissapointed with my numbers. He did tell me that the car is running a little rich, so I guess I'll get with Doug at Bama to work on my tune a little bit. The Dyno sheets shows a max of 282.19 RWHP and 280.26 ft-lbs, but the Dyno guy said that it just bumps up there when the torque converter locks up. My actual numbers are about 270 RWHP and 270 ft-lbs. I know the auto sucks up a lot of power, but I thought I would be a little higher than this! By comparison, the friend that I went with has a bone stock GT 5-spd (except exhaust) and he made about the same HP and about 25 more ft-lbs.
Thoughts?

Well, with just a CAI and Bama tune and an automatic, I think they are good considering the circumstances. I wouldn't be dissapointed with those numbers. I think they are good for the mods you have.

relax..they are just numbers....what does your assometer tell you...my car with tune, cai and full exhaust and headers was 300.8 rwhp and 304 torque.....so those numbers are pretty good....

That dyno chart looks weird... The stock converter doesn't even lock up at 5.5k rpm...
The numbers are not bad nonetheless.. Considering you might have started at 250rwhp being an auto...

Considering your mods and tranny, I'd say your where your should be. One question though......Did you make a U-Turn at 5400 rpm's while on the Dyno???? I don't think I've ever seen a reading like that.
