well... after washing and waxing i found some nice long cracks in the paint that are begining to spider web out. im really getting tired of haveing to worry about this damm hood. theyre only on the front of the hood.. upto 2" in. i guess the lip wasnt reinforced enough. im thinking of getting a stock hood again.

 

Damn, that sucks, you are the first to mention this openly anyways. I wonder if it's just the shops prep work that caused this. Go hit another dear and get it repainted...

no its not steeda. i wont say the companys name but the initials are TF. thankfully only the paint has cracked.

 

Not enough flex additive addedto the paint when it was painted?

 

Unlikely...
Paint is more flexible than fiberglass[8D].

Give TF a call and see if they're willing to help in any way.

I think they'll understand the need to satisfy the customer.
They've been there before.

 

its not the fiberglass thats cracking. why should they pay to repaint the hood unless they admit that they didnt reinforce the front of the hood enough. then they are going to have to recall the hood theyve sold sofar for the s197. im not trying to say im screwed but i run a buisness with my friend so i know what they are going to say, well atleast whati would say.
