So this weekend I am installing 10" racing stripes, metallic silver, yadda yadda. I removed my factory hood scoop, just unbolted from below, and pulled it off. Installed the stripes and everything, but now ontop of the 4 bolts I screw in from below, there are little black nubs that have to slide into the notches on the hood scoop. But I cant get them to go in properly because of the plastic peice that goes down into the hole in the hood to hold the whole scoop on, so I'm screwed... I don't know how to get this scoop to slide in properly. Am I retarded? I've tried every way but I just cant figure it out... Please help!

 

Pop the plastic screws off of the hood. Then attach them to the hoodscoop. Place the scoop back on teh car. I've done it a dozen times.
