Default Traction Control

Does anybody know if it is possible to program the ECM to have the traction control off by default? I have a procharged 4.6 with a custom tune. The builder suggested that I always keep the TCS off when driving hard. Sometime I forget to hit the switch and I don't want to break anything.

you can have your tuner shut it off in the tune, if this is done, you cant just press the button to bring it back on though

+1

Also, if your tuner is a Diablo Predator you can turn it off on your own.

I dont think you will "break" anything.
The TC system is not mechanical but
its a program in the PCM that limits
torque and HP when one of the rear
tires breaks loose by modifying engine
parameters. Kinda like the rev limiter.

Thanks for your input. Has anyone done this on their own? It is tough to figure out? Thanks again.

Yes. I have it done. Not a good idea if you plan on driving in foul weather.
