O.K. Im suppose to pick up my car Thursday and tomorrow I wanted to order my stripes but I'm not sure when I should have them put on. The car will have a fresh coat of paint and all I ever knew was to wait 3-4 weeks before waxing. So do you guys think the stripes should be put on before 1st coat of wax or after? I asked the painter and he said that he honestly don't know but, he did say that he doubt if ford waxes the mustangs before putting the side stripes on the one's that come with it stock. What do you guys think?

 

From what i've heard....waxmake the adhesive in the stripe less effective. repetitive waxing will get under the stripes and end up lifting the stripes. I think the stripes will stick better to the paint than it will to wax. I would put the stripes on first, wait a few days, then wax.
