it boxes the engine bay in

Are you looking for what Steeda calls, rear shock tower brace, if so the Granitelli is priced a little high.
Steeda sells theirs http://www.steeda.com/products/rear_...ower_brace.phpfor $175.00, which I think is still a little high,
but is a bit better

It helps keep the front end planted. It reduces strut tower flex and allows the suspension to function better under hard cornering. I have the black one from blueoval industries, its a nice little pice.

Most people say it dosent work because the s197 is one stiff sob, its not going to make spectacular performance differences however it does allow for slightly harder cornering.
