Default $15 Catch Can project...and MAFia talk

Took longer to find the catch can then it did to install it. Used a Kobalt water seperator for an air compressor. Works like a dream and everything cost under $15. I know some guys like the nice braided line and such but if you dont care then you can do something like this. My buddy has had this setup on his kenne bell, whipple, and turbo 03 cobra and it works very well.

Dex,

regarding the photo, see that you installed a mafia, was it absolutely needed for you to tune it? or you are using it as a very expensive MAF cabling extender?

The thing is that I'll be installing my HP kit soon and there are no mafias around. Just want to be prepared.

The MAFia came with my first turbo setup so it was just there. I didnt choose it but it works fine

You'll needtheMAFiaif you plan on using the stock MAF. If you want to just get a better MAF get the HPX MAF. I think that it works up to 650rwhp and if you attach the MAFia to that you can get another 200rwhp out of it.

Well I'm planning just 5psi in low boost and about 9 at high boost, when I reach close to 450rwhp I'll stop there.

I'm starting my savings toward a 298cid, and is going to take quite some time to get there so don't plan to abuse it too much by now.

Did not had the mafia in my plans. This is the first car with that kit that I see with a mafia on it.

hmmm, not sure what the stock MAF pegs out at HP wise. I would get an HPX instead of a MAFia because the HPX costs a little more but its more usuable later on.

You going to use your stock block or buy a block?

I was just looking at those the other day on thier site. What exactly does the MAFia allow you to do, just adjust the range of the MAF beyond what a stock setup does?

lol maybe we should make a different thread?

Yes, the MAFia extends the range (volts) of the MAF.
