any of ya'll ever worry that making your car stand out to the masses also makes it stand out to the law?
i know i'm a bit of a worrier, but i dont want to put money into my stang's appearance, only to have that weigh against me if a cop is ever considering letting me off with a warning.
i'm a real cautious driver, but stuff happens from time to time.

i'm torn between my prudence and my love for cars..

For me, my bright red vert has been a good thing. The security guards at work keep an eye on it for me and the cops in town have seen me driving it for a few years. Even wave once in a while. Not having tinted windows helps.

I think you should do what you want to the car. As long as you don't drive stupid, you shouldn't have any problems. I know the sterotype of most cops is that they are shady, but I know quite a few, and they seriously shouldn't bother you.

i'm not thinkin they'll pull me over and search for drugs just because i've got an aftermarket hood or anything..
but if i was 11mph over, and my car looks a little more than factory, he might question that it was really an accident.

If the cops know you, they won't bother ya.. They'll probally see you parked at the store and want to look at your car.. Or you can have cops that live around where i do, they just come to the house or call me to come to the park, lol.. Longs you get along with the cops, you should have no problems at all.. I M O..

Wow I had a 00 ss that was pretty darn sweet. Everytime I drove it I would get pulled over. I painted MUSTANG torch red with ghost flames and centered exhaust blah blah blah. NON stop getting pulled over[:@]

going with the most eye catching color on the road has a few benefits. I can see my car easily in parking lots. Other cars see it and will let me pull out of parking lots or driveways easier than any other car I've owned.
And the most important thing is that the jerk planning to pull out in front of me while driving might see it a little better than if it were a dark, more subtle color! That is worth more than anything else. You can control the cops by not speeding or racing on the street. But you can't control the idiots who won't see your dark car at dusk!

My 06 yellow stang is similar to yours Orion (probably not as many mods and I can't tell if you have black stripes or not) and although I love this color it's caused me some trouble too. I'm not a speed demon and usually am pretty cautious in town because this city is flooded with cops. Well, last weekend a kind gentleman in a uniform decided to write on this pretty little green slip and then...you'll never guess this, then he actually gave me this green slip! I was running with 3 other cars and all of us going roughly the same speed all in a line. Cop sees us, turns after us, passes last car, pulls up to me and pulls me over. Thats just typical... Still wouldn't trade my color for anything else though.

I've never been pulled over and there's a TON of police around here. I'm speeding (~5 over) most of the time too and have pretty loud exhaust.

I'm curious to see if I'll get more attention when I tint the car in a couple weeks here
