Pypes mid-muffler system install advice
I'm really happy now because after going over my paperwork I was only charged $100.83 for the install.I misunderstood Kevin when he told me "one hundred eighty three", which I would have been glad to pay
. A cat back install and three dyno runs for $100. Can't beat that with a stick...

It was striped until I hydroplanned into a ****** wire fence at 60mph. Scratched my stripes up something fierce! I'm still debating wether or not to restripe it. Gives me another chance to install something.

That's a great look from behind the car moose. I could have sworn your car was striped!? I'm going to have them mount up the mid-mufflers and then put my MAC's back on. I love the chrome finish and deepness of the MAC's but hate the trumpet at 2.5-3k rpm with the off-road pipe. Hoping the mid-muff/resonators will kill it. We'll see how it sounds. At least I can remove the MAC's and put the Pypes tips back on later myself. I think the MAC's look really good under the rear:

Hey Moose, MD07 and anyone else that has the Pypes mid setup on this thread. I have one last question before I let this thread die off.
Last night I noticed that the M-80 bullet mufflers are SERIOUSLY close to my gas tank. One of them may even be touching it slightly. Are yours also this close? Will it even be a problem with the tank insulation protecting it? It's kinda making me nervous...

It is a balancing act between the mufflers touching the gas tank and getting the tips in the right place. As long as it doesn't touch you should be good

Not a problem.I crawled up under there last night and readjusted everything. It's all good now. I'm just glad I didn't have to do the original install myself, I'm fine with the "readjustment". $100 well spent...
You should be able to get your fingers inbetween the mufflers and tank or atleast your pinkie finger.
My passenger side muffler was closer to the tank than the drivers side. I just got under the car and loosened the clamps. Yanked downward on the muffler and then retightened everything. I check them whenever under the car and it hasn't moved. If it does touch i'd think you'd know it.
