I'm looking at a DiabloSport Predator 2007-2008 Mustang Tuner or do i need to go for a CUSTOM tune??
The bad part about the Diablosport Predator is that it is not as widely supported as SCT tuners. There are many tuners that will write tunes for the Predator, but there are alot more that support the SCT XCal2 and XCal3. If you EVER plan on getting a dyno tune, call your local tuning shop and see which tuners they support. But if you decide to get the Predator anyway, I highly recommend a Bamachips tune. You can buy the intake and tuner from Bamachips as a package.

hehe, where i live, there really ain't any tuner shops.. O.k.. Here's what i'm planning on.. Any and all my throw in their 2 cents.. I just need a really good 93 oct tune.. Add a CAI and underpulleys.. I don't need anything really fancy and such.. Later on, i may add headers, X-pipe, to give my Exhaust better sound and some hp's..

I'm looking at bamachips.. Explains these for me please:
Calibration Code or Strategy
Axle Code or Gear Ratio
Tune Requested = Perf/Torq/Race for 87,89,91,93

IS there a way to upload my stock tune as well??

Sorry, but i have questions.. hehe..

Dangit, i forgot what i was gonna edit

Underdrive pullies do not require a retune, you could buy and install those now. The Calibration/Strategy code is like a version number of the stock tune. Axle ratio; All 05-06 manuals have 3.55, auto are 3.31. 07+ autos are 3.31, manuals are either 3.31 or 3.55. There should be a sticker on differential housing that says it.

i "had" a max energy tunner from hypertech and i sent it back! it is a very basic "tune" that doesn't equate to the real programmers out there..i.e. xcal3(the on i use) my advice is to get one of the suggested programmers and get a real tune from bama or brenspeed......the difference is phenominal in comparison to hypertech!

good luck and have fun.......remember, it's your car..do what YOU want...we all have opinions and suggestions!

I'd say that a Hypertech tune is on par with the FRPP tune.

Your starting mod list reads just like my beginning setup. Get the Steeda CAI, whichever tuner (Predator or SCT), Pullies, throttle body spacer is a waste as well as a new throttle body in general unless you're running a wild setup. Throw in some 3.73's and Steeda charge motion plates too while you're at it. Should run nice...

First and foremost though, if you have a 5 speed, GET A TRI-AX!!
