The hood will have to be replaced. It cannot be repaired.

Notify your insurance company of the damage to the car. My insurance company (American Family) has a special garage that is lighted in such a way that all the little hail dents stick out like a sore thumb.

Your insurance company will give you a list of Ford Dealers, that have body shops, that you can take your car to.

A hail storm I was caught in ended up costing $4000. A friend of mine also has a 05 GT, the damage to his car was $9000.

Anyway you look at it you will probably loose your ride for a couple of weeks for repairs.

Sorry to hear about the damage.

There was a chance of hail during the night here last week.
No garage.
I slept in my Stang parked under the local bank drive thru.

I feel for you man. Second the paintless repair service...if you can find one use it...they can do an incredible job. My neighbor got really bad hail damage on his car last year and found a local paintless repair shop...you cannot tell the car was ever damaged.

I had hail damage on a previous car.. and paint-less dent removal made it look like new again in a day or two. However.. I have heard that it will not work in aluminum.. which is what our hoods are made out of.

Yes it works on aluminum...
As long as it's not stretched, same with metal anyways.

I would contanct insurance even with a high deductable. Hail damage is not cheap, dealerships ussualy wont even try to fix it they just drop the price on the vehicle (ALOT).
this is incorrect...what happens is they file a claim with their insurance and the insurance gives them a check. They can choose to get them fixed or sell them at a cheaper price. Most choose to just keep the insurance money and sell the cars at a cheaper price.
