Default Spydershaft or Gears?

Well I want to do 4.10s and get a Spydershaft, but I can only afford one at the moment (they'll probably about the same: driveshaft I'll install myself and gears I'll have a shop do it, so about 500-600).

I want the gears more, but I'm having trouble finding a suitable shop that swaps gears, let alone one with Ford 8.8 experience. The one place that might be able to do it (haven't gotten ahold of them yet, I'm calling tomorrow during their business hours) is Transmission Shop Inc. Does anybody have any experience with them (they are in the Twin Cities area, multiple locations.)

Should I take my chances with that shop and order the gears (I'll contact the shop first of course and note their experience) or go for the Spydershaft?

You'll be able to notice the gears right away. Only reason i wouldn't change mine is I can't find a mechanic I trust for a gear swap. The whining, etc. Good luck on the choice.

Do you plan on supercharging the car? If so, don't do the gears, get the driveshaft. HMC is running a special on the Sypdershaft though right now. I'd probably go that route and just get the gears later if you want.

Are the Sypdershafts guaranteed not to vibe at high speeds?
