how do dealerships feel about aftermarket parts? Cause, I have lots of cosmetic as well as performance.

You get nothing for your mods. But when they turn around and sell it all of a sudden it worth a whole lot more.
not always.... As a dealer I'd prefer to have every car as it comes from the factory. Then your targeting a wider base of customers. If you have a 2006 gt vert with 20's, CAI lowered and loud exhaust it's not going to be sold to a 70 year old retiree. Your customer base on that car is primarily someone in the 18-30 year old bracket. Normally a car thats been modded out is worth much less. The key to modding a car IMOis to buy nothing new and then when you go to sell sell all your parts again. I've done that several times and I have lost very little money doing so.

there are some things however I would be leary of purchasing used such as a supercharger for the simple fact of support after the sale and to make sure you get all of the parts that the kit comes with.

I know the Market supports the cobra much more strongly then black look reports but
I have the 03 cobra vertlisted at 21450 extra clean black book If your gt is a coupe the 05 gt is worth 17100 average wholesale in the black book. So in reality the biggest problem people will run into in buying a cobra is getting a bank to stand behind the $$ amount needing to be financed.

In reality obviously the cobra isn't WORTH twice as much they are just trying to get that much more out of them IMO.

Well,I have to take the car in Saturday to get the rest of my warranty work done to it, so if the cobra is still there I will try to deal with them. But unless they are going to give me a good price for my car I will just leave the dealership with my gt. One way or another I at least know I will be leaving with a sweet car, lol.

I'll be very interested to hear what the dealer will give you for your car. I am eyeing an 05 Legend Lime GT at a local dealer...completely stock, appears to be in great shape...17,000 miles on the dial.....leather, shaker 1000, upgraded interior, etc....

Thx,
Mike

Thats it, I think I am goin to keep my car either way now. I have owned it for over 2 years and puttoo much money into this car to take a huge loss on it. I will still ask them about the trade in value, but I don't think it will be too high.
