I need some suggestions of what i can do to improve my traction.
I need some suggestions of what i can do to improve my traction.
I would try putting in the performance tune first. If its still to much start pulling full throttle timing below 4000 rpm.
The other alternative is to just pull timing below 4000 rpm in the race tune.

I don't know why anyone would want to go to 4.10 gears for every day drivers on the street....They are GREAT if your going to live on the drag strip and run slicks, but for every day drivers, 3.73 is the max gear for driveability and get up and go on regular street tires....

WTF?
4.10's are great.
Great fun.
I suppose you could do second gear starts.
I have no problem getting traction, but I can roast them when I want to.
3.73's might have been an option if i had stock 3.31's, or was going to FI.
But as I had stock 3.55's, 3.73's would have left me unimpressed.
Don't fear the gear.

I have the JDM E-car tune and have the same problem with so much power, and this tune has restricted timing in the lower rpm band. I would buy the widest wheels and rims and the best summer tires you can, and pull the timing down low as suggested if that is realistic for you to do. Erik

RE: What Do I DO ????
So far I'm not having any problems getting traction with my 4.10:1 gears. Granted, I haven't tried my winter snow tires yet, but my KDW2 tires (255/45) seem to be hooking up really well. Sure, I can roast them with ease, but just for normal driving? No worries at all. Sounds to me like somebody has a bad case of heavy right foot.
