I have an automatic with 3.31s. Would it be worth it to go with 3.73s or should I do 4.10s?
4.10's for an auto IMO. I have 3.73's in my 5 speed, love 'em...

Tongy : For a cost effective temporary solution, get a pair of Adidas' or Puma's, they have GREAT feel and it will help your throttle control. I know that sounds crazy/stupid, but hey, whatever I have a pair of suede adidas gazelle originals that I love to wear when I drive 'cause I can dance on the pedals when I have those on and do some spirited driving.

A very knowledgable and respected expert in Mustang performance recommended that I get 3.73s with my automatic saying they are the best fit for the automatic. I am very happy with mine. There are some with 4.10s that have been happy with theirs as well so its a matter of opinion.

4.30's are about as much as the dedicated crazies can stand in the manuals on the street.
That means with the 0.71 OD Auto vs the 0.675 manual the 4.10's would be about all you can stand.

Of course I believe Ron (Spydershaft) runs 4.30? in his 11.89 @ 114.75 auto all-bolton stock long block car.
But he is a little over the edge not to mention I dont believe his car sees much if any street time.

PS If you are not a dedicated crazy you might consider 3.73's for real Ford gearsor 3.90's if you are not afraid of Motives.

I need some suggestions of what i can do to improve my traction.
Take some full throttle timing out below 4000 rpm. You have a couple of different choices.
I would try putting in the performance tune first. If its still to much start pulling full throttle timing below 4000 rpm.
The other alternative is to just pull timing below 4000 rpm in the race tune.
Best suggestion....

if you're running a race tune with gears...throttle modulation is ESSENTIAL.

I dunno man how about just stay off the gas a bit or learn to control your pedal better, guys are running 4.10 with blowers and such and dont have these problems I sure dont and I havemore mods then you do and have ran thebama race tune....as easy as starting in 2nd gear if your not very good at manipulating your throttle.

If I can control spin in the rain Im sure you can learn how to control it on dry pavement
