Default Axle back install

Please don't laugh out loud to much. The most I've done with any of my cars is change a tire and check the oil.

How hard is it to install a set of boomtubes? Rest of the exhaust is going to stay stock for now. Is there a tutorial anywhere so I can see what kind of tools and stuff I'm going to need?

just unbolt and bolt on new ones. easier if you have air tools and a lift but nothing too hard

Will they fit on straight without having to loosen up other parts of the exhaust? I'm hoping this is going to be practically plug and play.

My friend has some ramps I can back the car up onto so we have that part covered.

Depends on which ones you have. My Bassani was pretty easy but I had help and a lift and air tools

I had mine installed by an experienced Mustang performance shop... and am I glad I didn't try to do it myself. It was supposed to take about 20 minutes but ended up taking him 1.5 hours. He had to use a torch and hammer to bend the hardware into fitting. He had to fit the BTs on both sides several times with a heat and hammer to bend cycle each time before he finally got them to fit. If yours are like mine and you are not that skilled forget about doing it yourself. Save yourself a huge headache... take them to a pro shop.

They are worth the money though.

it took me about an hour to install my boom tubes. A few bolts the ones on top of the exhaust are hard to get to so I had to go on feel alone.

Reinstall was super fast.

I did have to losten my Midpipe to adjust my exhaust tip (Very easy if you have a 2nd person to line them up while you adjust/tighten down)

all in all Very very easy install

In the event your tips aren't centered in the bumper cutouts, you can loosen the mid-pipe clamps rather than bend anything.

Piece of cake for one person and it took a torch for another. [&:]

There are no mustang performance shops here unless you consider that to be the dealer lol. If it comes down to shop work I'd have to take it to a muffler place.

Well you aren't that new around here so you should know that there is a HOW-TO and TACO-BILL HOW-TO STICKY on the first page. Go scroll through it and it might answer a lot more questions you have as well...

You also don't have to go to a Mustang Performance shop...any muffler shop can do it and they will charge about $80 (around here)
