ORIGINAL: one eyed *****

if you get the windows tinited by someone, that all goes away and you cant see it.
Its good to find that out because that was one of the main reason that was stopping me from pulling the trigger on tinting my windows. Want to get it fixed if it was a problem.

Thanks!

Wow, my rear window was doing that a couple weeks ago and I thought I had screwed it up from putting ammonia on it. I'm glad I didn't actually screw anything up.

there is a slight tint to the 5 side and rear windows. Just roll down the window to see the difference when looking at something white.
It's not the kind of dark tint that you get when you have tint installed.
It's very unfortunate that it can be seen when you wear polarized sunglasses, but then it's just an excuse to tint all 5 of the windows!
For new owners, if you're thinking about getting the rear side louvers you might as well save the money and hold off on tinting those windows. But the bad news is that the breaking up/ checkerboard pattern can also show up in the windows on the doors. So go ahead and get those tinted when you do the back glass and don't forget the moleskin, or you'll have scratched tint sooner or later.

It's funny, but I saw those scratches in the tint on several restored Mustangs from the 1960's at several shows. Ford has had that problem for decades and still hasn't fixed it!
