how much gain from re-gear in 5 spd?
hey guys,
wondering how much improvement you see on the dyno after changing from 3.33's to lets say 3.73 or 3.9_'s.. i heard 410's are pushing it for a manual, and are more for automatics..
i know you FEEL a big difference with gears.. but what about as far as numbers go?

see thats what i thought!!!... but i was talking to a mechanic that i know that comes into my work (advance auto parts) all the time, and said.. i know gears help alot.. but do they change your numbers on a dyno.. and i coulda swore he said yes.. and explained how its all about how it gets to the ground?.. so im not sure.. i see it going both ways.. yes and no..
help?!?!..
also, i think i heard of ppl putting a 3.91 gear in.. but i could be wrong.. but i swore it was a 3.9__ somehting.. but seems perfect since its imbetween 4.10 and 3.73

4.10s are good for manuals its automatics that you dont wanna go that high with. If you plan on going F/I later than stick with 3.55s or 3.73s even but if you dont plan on a blower go 4.10 u wont regret it
