I have found that Kit's Scratch Remover (bright yellow bottle) is the best...a clean damp soft cloth (keep it damp--even wet) with a little bit of elbow grease and most scratches will either disappear or look less noticeable...follow it up with Meguiar's #2 Polish and then your choice of wax.

My aunt and uncle use the products that Mays advertises and they all do exactly as advertised. Unfortunately they haven't tried the scratch remover yet. I would give it a try, it seems like his stuff works.

That g-37 scratch remover has been around before Billy Mays started pitching it.
It really works well. I have never used it on my black Stang but on my white Lincoln and champagneMercury it completely removed sctratches or light abrasions. Great product.

I have used it and it will remove marks on top of the paint only. If there is a real "scratch" into the paint, it does nothing. Their definition of "scratch" is very....different.

if they are swirls and people say they disappear, I'm willing to bet it covers the swirls rather than removes them. The only way to really remove swirl marks is by using a porter cable/buffer and a light or medium compound. It cuts down into the clear coat to the level of the swirl essentially evening out the surfaces around it and smoothing it out, removing the swirl

EDIT: if you can feel the scratch with your fingernail then it isn't repairable without touch up [8D]

i don't even have scrathes. i always try and park 3 or 4 spots away from people, but whenever I come out of a store, i'm surrounded by other cars...i'm gonna have to just start taking 2 spots. I'm still in college so it's hard to stay away from other cars on campus and spots are tight.

I've got a few door dings i'm working on getting out. 2 are just paint on top of my clear coat, 1 on door and 1 on fender. 1 is like a primer-ish yellow on my driver's side and slides down the edge on the door until it stops at my door handle w/ a big spot. and 1 last one actually has a small dent from someone's door, and that is the only one that pisses me off. If i would have known when it happened I would have waited for someone to come out of a store. I think next time I notice someone up next to me and a new ding i'm gonna key the F@#! out of their car.
