Default Dented Door

I came out of a Circuit City store tonight to find someone had dented my driver side door! They of course didn't stick around or leave a note or anything. The dent is about the size of a golf ball and is pretty noticeable. I called my insurance company and have an appointment with the adjuster on Thursday. I had just washed and waxed the car too.

See if you have a paintless dent repair shop in your area. These guys can do awesome work and you will never know the ding was there. As long as there is no chipped paint and it is not on a crease they can take your dent out. Hope this helps you out. One more thing, this will be alot cheaper then painting the door.

I had similar situation except it was on my quarter panel just above the wheel flair. I was almost sure it couldn't be pulled, but I took it by a body shop before turning it in to my insurance and they were able to fix the dent and it was only $100.00. +1 on the parking as far as possible. Before I got that dent I didn't worry about it, now I drop the wife off at the curb and park as far away as I can rain or shine.

I had a door ding on the passenger side near the middle and it ran through the crease line. Called a mobile PDR guy to fix it and it cost me $120. The repair was 99.9% perfect. You can only see where the ding was if you were 10 inches from it at an angle and were really looking for it. Now I never park near any cars even if it was the last parking space on the lot.

Sorry to hear about the door.

I thought a good place to park when out was in the back, tight next to a curb, or near a cart corral....

I noticed other people like to park 'near' the car in the back. oh well, can't do much about that, but walking up to it, chin high, it feels good, it looks good.

The spot near the car corral's is now avoided after I walked out and saw a little child (7ish) run and "shoot" the cart for the corral.... 50/50 shot imho of hitting the 'stang.

His mom was pretending not to notice (as I was cringing)... All worked out fine.

When at small stores or restaurants, I pull to the back or side, where the employees park, and take up two spaces.

Park at an angle and the walk up view is like ... 'damn'.

The cart corral is the WORST place to park next to IMHO.
Or downhill from the cart corrals.

I thought I was parking far enough out! You just can't get far enough away from some people i guess. The dent is small, and I am sure it won't be a huge expense, but still, that is money that could have went to something else. When we went to the bookstore I did take up two parking spaces at the far end of the lot. At least it didn't change the fun factor of driving it though.
