what sorta drag tires yall usin?
Hey you guys I am looking at getting a set of drag tires (street or strip) and have no idea what company, size, tire, rim or anything to go with please offer me comments. Currently my rear tires are 295/30/20 if that matters.

In my opinion the others are not worth fooling with.
Well the Nitto does make a nice street tire for dry weather..
None of the DR's are frienldy in the rain but Nitto's are better than the others and M&H is slightly better than MT in the rain.

28" MT's on my bogarts in the back and a volkswagen tire on my skinnies in the front.
Street wheels have Nitto DR's on the back (they are almost like a street tire) and 555 extremes in the front.
If you go to any NMRA races check to see if you can get a wheel to match the 10.5 cars (15" wheel). They usualy will only make 3 passes on a set of rear tires. Then again they are pushing 1400 or 1500 rwhp. However, there is plenty of rubber left on the tires for our cars to use. You can then get your tires dirt cheap.
Just make sure you inspect them well.

And lose the 20's for the track. If your building the kind of car you are I would get some Bogarts. You'll want them when you get to the 700+ rwhp you've been looking at!
Trust me you'll want a big patch of meat on the back to hook up that power!

M&H Racemasters here. We'll see what they do tomorrow, but they're the only drag radial I've seen cut a 1.4x 60', and multiple people at that. We're not talking about sub 10 second cars, eitehr. So that sold me on them. 325/45/17 for 17x9 or 275/50/17 for 17x8. I know, that sounds big, but they run small.
