One thing that has bothered me since I got the car back in Feb. -- is the tinting. It is scratched pretty bad ...

I know about moleskin - and plan to order and install BEFORE I even think about getting the tint RE-done.

Question- what do y'all figure it will cost though? I know them having to remove the old will add to the cost ... and I plan to have all the windows done.

I paid $100 to have 15% added all the way around. I wouldn't think them removing it will cost too much extra.

 

The guy I had do mine yesterday charged $130. He also said he charges $100 to take off old tint, but only $60 if you're paying him to put on new tint as well.

But this was just some guy in his garage at home, so probably not very representative of the industry as a whole...

 

$100 to remove? I'd just remove it myself.

The guy does great work though. He's been tinting car windows for well over 20 years. At one point he was working for pretty much every dealer in the Phoenix area untill he realized he could make more money by just woking from his house.
